About Miriam
Hi, I’m Miriam, a friendly, creative tutor based in Manchester, with a calm and supportive approach. I work with students who need help building confidence in English, reading, writing, or study skills. Whether your child is struggling at school, preparing for an exam, or just needs a little extra support to thrive, I offer lessons that are tailored to their pace, personality, and learning style. As a mum of two, I understand how important it is to make learning feel positive and pressure-free. I create a relaxed environment where students feel safe to ask questions, try things out, and grow in confidence. I offer online lessons, or local in-person sessions where possible. My goal is always to help students feel capable, calm and proud of their progress. The first lesson is free, and I’m happy to answer any questions before we start. Let’s chat and see how I can help!

My lessons are friendly, patient, and tailored exactly to each student’s needs. I believe learning should be enjoyable and stress-free - no one learns well under pressure! Whether we’re working on English skills, homework, or exam preparation, I focus on building confidence step-by-step. I use creative activities, real-life examples, and plenty of positive encouragement to help students feel proud of their progress. I’m flexible with lesson formats — I offer both online sessions for convenience and in-person lessons locally when possible. Each lesson is designed around the student’s goals, pace, and interests, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and practise skills in a relaxed setting. I also provide helpful resources and homework when needed, so progress continues between lessons. I’m here to support, motivate, and celebrate every small win on the way to your bigger goals!
