About Oscar

Hi, I'm Oscar — a professional actor, playwright and TEFL-qualified English teacher based in London.

I've spent years working with language professionally: writing plays and screenplays, performing on stage and screen, recording audiobooks, and working as a voiceover artist with a voice agent. I bring all of that into my teaching.

No one should feel like they don't have the confidence to speak, especially in their place of work. I love meeting new people and understanding their experiences.

I'm also a big fan of nerdy TV shows and films, so any Doctor Who, Star Wars or Widow's bay fans, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Most English teachers can help you with grammar and vocabulary. I can help you with those things too — but I also specialise in something rarer: helping you sound confident, clear and natural when you speak. Whether you're preparing for a business presentation, want to improve your conversational fluency, or simply want to speak English the way it's actually spoken — with rhythm, warmth and personality — I can help you get there.

My lessons are relaxed, conversational and genuinely enjoyable. I tailor every session to what you actually need rather than following a rigid textbook. I believe the best way to learn a language is to use it — so we'll spend most of our time speaking, listening and communicating, not filling in worksheets.

I work with adult learners of all levels, from intermediate to advanced, and I'm equally comfortable helping professionals sharpen their business English, creatives develop their expressive range, or conversational learners build their confidence and fluency.

If you want an English lesson that feels less like a lesson and more like a genuinely useful conversation with someone who loves language — let's talk.
