About Debbie
I’ve been practising as a qualified coach since 2019 and as an ICF-accredited Emotions Coaching Practitioner since 2024.
Alongside my coaching practice, I have extensive experience in senior leadership roles across healthcare, technology and higher education, following an earlier career in scientific R&D. I’m also a Cambridge graduate, albeit rather a long time ago!
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people from a wide range of professional, cultural and personal backgrounds, supporting them through change, challenge and uncertainty.
I’m naturally curious, empathetic and genuinely interested in people. I believe good coaching starts with creating a space where you feel comfortable being open and honest, without judgement.
My approach is supportive, compassionate and practical. I’ll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and help you explore what may be going on beneath the surface, while giving you the space to find your own insights and answers.
Whether you’re dealing with a specific challenge, feeling stuck, navigating change or simply want to understand yourself better, I’d be delighted to work with you.

Emotions Coaching offers a deeper, more human approach to creating change. Rather than focusing only on goals and actions, we'll explore the emotions that sit behind the way you think, behave, make decisions and relate to others.
Sessions provide a safe, supportive and confidential space to explore what you are feeling, understand what may be driving it, and identify patterns that could be keeping you stuck. You don't need to arrive with a clearly defined goal. Often, a conversation to understand what is really going on is the best place to start.
We might explore confidence, feeling stuck, difficult decisions, relationships, work challenges, change, overwhelm or simply a desire to understand yourself better. The approach can be applied to both personal and professional situations.
Sessions are conversational, practical and tailored to you. You’ll be encouraged to explore your emotions at your own pace, develop greater self-awareness and find new ways to respond to challenges with more clarity, confidence and choice.
My aim is to make each session a supportive and worthwhile experience, leaving you with greater understanding and a clearer sense of how you want to move forward.

Details
A typical session is 60 minutes. While a block of six sessions can work particularly well for exploring an issue in more depth and creating lasting change, there is no fixed programme. Sessions can be arranged individually or as a series, depending on what feels most appropriate for you.
I also offer a free 30-minute introductory session. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss the Emotions Coaching approach and explore what you would like to work on, so we can decide together what might be most helpful for you.
