About Karla
I am a Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineer and currently completing an MSc in Data Science. I have a strong background in mathematics, physics, engineering, and analytical problem-solving. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual’s learning style, goals, and pace, creating a supportive and effective learning environment. In addition to my engineering qualifications, I hold certifications in Python programming, SQL, Prusa Academy, Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Excel, Accounting and Bookkeeping, and Licentiate Diploma in Piano Performance. I am also fully Garda vetted, providing reassurance to students and parents alike.

Each session begins with a quick recap to review previous learning before introducing a new topic with clear explanations and examples. We break concepts into manageable steps, practise together, review mistakes, and finish with a short recap and independent practice. Lessons are tailored to each learner’s pace, goals, and learning style. I have experience supporting students with dyslexia, autism, and other learning differences, adapting teaching methods and resources to help every student build confidence and succeed. I also prepare my own study materials, additional examples, and clear study notes. Students usually only need a notebook and preferably a folder. I would provide all necessary material but students are more than welcome to bring their own textbook and/or past exam papers.

For any lessons, cancelation policy is 24 hours. In case of cancelling on the day or forgetting to attend the session, full fee paid is expected. Emergencies are granted an exempt.
Discount offered for more than one lesson a week depending on the level and amount of weekly lessons. This can be discussed privately upon interest.
