About Elmo
Hello! I'm Elmo, a qualified Science teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Physics degree from King's College London. I have experience teaching students across KS3 to KS5 in UK secondary schools, working with learners of different abilities, backgrounds and learning styles.
I chose to become a teacher because I enjoy helping students overcome challenges and discover that subjects like Maths and Science are far more accessible than they first appear. I believe that with the right guidance, patience and encouragement, every student can make meaningful progress.
I pride myself on being approachable, reliable and well prepared for every lesson, creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence. Outside the classroom, I enjoy keeping active and have a keen interest in science, technology and lifelong learning.

Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs, goals and current level of understanding. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels or simply looking to build confidence in Maths or Science, we'll work together to identify areas for improvement and develop a clear plan for success.
I focus on developing genuine understanding through clear explanations, worked examples and plenty of opportunities to practise, while also improving exam technique and problem-solving skills.
My aim is to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, helping them become more confident and independent learners.
I am a qualified Teacher of Science (Physics specialism) and Physics graduate from King's College London. I have taught Science and Maths across KS3 to KS5 in comprehensive and independent schools since 2021.
I offer tuition in:
-Physics, Maths and Further Maths at A-Level
-Maths and Science (Foundation, Higher, Triple) for KS3 and GCSE students.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I am happy to discuss longer or shorter sessions where appropriate.
