About Jade
I am a qualified intermediate and senior phase teacher, currently teaching Grade 4 at a remedial school in Cape Town. I have two years of experiencing teaching English as a second language in South Korea for grades R to 6, and five years of experience teaching in private schools in Cape Town. I am currently setting up a distance learning program for Grade 4. I have been tutoring a Grade 3 learner this year, during our time together we have focused on improving comprehension skills and understanding.

I believe it is important for children to have the skills required in the current school curriculum in order for them to better understand the content requires. I like to develop each child's individual confidence in their learning, empowering them to think for themselves and manipulate what is taught to fully understand it. As a remedial teacher, I focus on each individual child's specific needs and interests to get them to fully comprehend and engage with what is taught in order for them to use it in multiple situations.
