About Hazera
I am a qualified GCSE Science teacher with 7 years’ experience across two Ofsted Outstanding schools and multi-academy trusts, alongside work as a GCSE examiner and private tutor. I graduated with a degree in Biology from Queen Mary University, London.
As a practitioner, I support students to secure strong outcomes across Biology, Chemistry and Physics through precise, high-impact teaching, including for learners with SEND.
I am also a specialist in GCSE Science exams and tailor all lessons through the lens of an examiner. My recent achievements include supporting a student to progress from a predicted Grade 4-4 to securing Grade 8-8 in August last year, reflecting the impact of targeted, strategic teaching.
I am passionate about making science accessible as I recognise that many students find the subject complex and overwhelming. I have worked closely with Ogden Trust, IoP and UKAEA to further refine how we teach difficult concepts in Physics.

I have successfully worked with a wide range of learners, from Triple Science students to those who initially lack confidence in Science, with many progressing to study science beyond GCSE level.
My teaching is grounded in a secure understanding of the GCSE curriculum and assessment frameworks. Drawing on my experience in curriculum mapping and AQA examiner work, I develop students’ ability to interpret command words, apply knowledge in unfamiliar contexts, and construct high-quality extended responses, particularly in high-tariff and data-driven questions.
Each 60-minute session is carefully tailored to address gaps in understanding, combining explicit instruction, guided practice and exam-style questioning, alongside regular assessment to track progress.
I also provide structured support with required practicals, ensuring students understand the underlying science, how to approach the data part, and how examiners assess practical content.
