About Ben
Hi! My name's Ben and I am 26 years old. I have lived in England most of my life, with the exception of the 2 years I spent teaching English in South East Asia. It was here I learned how to teach English as an additional language. After that, I returned to England to continue developing my teaching skills as a teacher in Jersey, Channel Islands. I now hope to share my knowledge and love of English with you.

Friendly and engaging lessons that are individually tailored to help each student achieve their language goal.
I teach general English including grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. However, I am also experienced in teaching IELTS exam preparation lessons for those studying for the General and Academic Skills tests.
I use up to date materials that are tailored to the individual. My lessons incorporate reading, writing, and speaking practice, tailored to my students' interests, goals, and areas for improvement.
My experiences as a class teacher, and ESL tutor have allowed me to hone my skills as a tutor and identify how best to teach most effectively.
During my PGCE degree and teacher training, I have been taught that one of the fundamental keys to success in learning, is to be engaging and have fun - something that I plan every lesson with in mind.
