About Shaun
I have been a qualified teacher since 2006. Initially taught at mainstream Primary Schools (teaching Year 1s to Year 5s).
I worked in Primary Schools for over 8 years before gaining a post for a National Charity.
I now support teenagers with various degrees of disability to access Literacy and maths sessions, as well as independence and life skills.

I have been a qualified teacher since 2006. I am currently working for a charity, supporting children with disabilities to access schools or Further Education at college. Previous to this I was a Year 1 teacher, ICT coordinator and Deputy Child Protection Officer. In addition to my teaching experience, I have taught years 3, 4 and 5 (at Primary level) and taught children with various Special Needs from children with dyslexia and autism to children with high intellect. All students require a great deal of individual planning, which I thrive in. I now teach individual children to either access the Primary Curriculum or English, Maths and History at Functional Skills / GCSE level. I have good knowledge of the school curriculum, especially in teaching maths, phonics, history and ICT. My strategies help to identify areas of support and pinpoint what is needed to help children build confidence and strategies to become independent learners.
