About Sal
Me and my Experience: - I teach and tutor KS3 & GCSE Maths and science, and A level Biology and Chemistry. - I am DBS checked and on the update service - I have passed and received certification from multiple tutor training programmes. - I am a QTS and PGCE qualified teacher with 3 years of secondary and sixth form teaching experience. - I have 6 years of successful tutoring experience where I have guided 200+ repeat students to improve by as much as 7 grades. - I achieved a high first-class Master's degree in biochemical immunology with an aggregate score of 85% - I have taught Special educational needs classes and tutored SEND students - I have received mentoring awards when working with schools, colleges and my university library. I am deeply passionate about tutoring and this is why I have decided to pursue a tutoring career. I take professional development very seriously and am constantly researching and implementing ways to make learning more efficient, impactful and enjoyable for my students. My motto as a tutor is every student is capable of academic success with the right mindset and guidance. I also believe work ethic, academic engagement and confidence can be nurtured into students. I am thrilled to share that my students have shown significant improvements in their subjects, with excellent feedback. Several of my long-term students have gone to study degrees like law and medicine, while others have received scholarships to study or work in prestigious international schools, colleges and institutions across the globe. Here are a few examples of the outstanding academic improvements my students have achieved: - An A-level chemistry student who previously obtained a D grade progressed to an A grade after just two months of four lessons per week and enrolled to study medicine. - One of my previous A-level students achieved an A* in Biology. I continued to mentor them over the summer to prepare for university. They kept in contact updating me with their success and I was pleased to hear they achieved a 1st in their first 2 years of university and have just finished a paid internship at the pharmaceutical giant GSK. - A GCSE student, initially predicted a grade 1 in Chemistry and a grade 4 in Maths, soared to a grade 7 in both subjects after two lessons per week for two terms. - A very long-term student, starting from level 1 in both sciences and Maths in Year 9, has now advanced to the top set for both subjects, entering Year 11, and even received recognition and an award as the best GCSE Maths student in their year. - A GCSE student achieving level 5-7 in unit exams for maths and science achieved a level 9 in maths and across all three sciences I want to emphasise that while all my tutees so far have been satisfied and demonstrated improvement, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Lessons are conducted online using interactive technologies such as whiteboards and I adaI do not conduct my lessons as a live hour long PowerPoint lecture. Throughout my years of tutoring, I have invested a significant amount of time and money into technology, software, resources, my training, and other necessary investments to ensure a seamless impactful experience both during and outside of the tutoring sessions. The robust one-on-one tutoring programme I offer includes: - Online interactive technologies like whiteboards, learning games and experiments. - Additional resources at no extra cost, including home experiments, homework assignments, weekly progress reports, exam practice, predicted and past papers, targeted revision guidance, and supplementary study materials. - Constantly improving and adapted teaching methods to cater to each student's individual needs, requests, and subject knowledge. - A safe environment where students feel comfortable to learn, make mistakes, and actively engage with the covered content. I take confidentiality and safeguarding extremely seriously. - Lifetime access to our lesson materials, allowing them to learn at their own pace and review the content at any time. - Open out of lesson tutor to teacher, parent and student communications - Regular progress checks While my sessions are tailored to the student’s needs and pace, my general approach involves addressing the identified gaps in knowledge and skills through practice questions, well-explained concepts, and step-by-step guided inquisition to help students reach the correct answers. Once students have established a solid foundation of subject knowledge, I challenge them by training their ability to apply and connect their knowledge to new areas, as these skills are often tested by exam boards in higher-level suggest questions. He is easygoing, easy to communicate with and tries different methods ensuring you understand and can go further.
Saleh is an excellent tutor and really puts his all into helping you achieve a better grade. He does a lot of planning into lessons and spends a lot of time trying to analyse your weaknesses where he then focuses on how to improve them. You can tell he genuinely puts in a lot of effort into helping you and he also helps motivate you. He’s good at explaining things and coming up with analogies to help portray what he’s trying to teach. Overall, If someone’s looking to get a tutor I highly recommend Saleh
I’ve known Sal for many years and he’s a good friend of mine who has helped me in education before and I have also seen him teach others. He honestly is such an honest guy who actually tries to help and has a way of teaching that allows anyone to learn, progress and develop . Him giving honest feedback will allow you to reflect and improve making him trustworthy with his incredible skill of tutoring.
