About Sophie
To me, teaching is about supporting the individual to grow and develop in their own unique way. I like to capture the identity and passions of someone to direct the path of learning, and build on existing strengths to support development.
It is ok to make mistakes as they are an opportunity for learning. My teaching style is calm and friendly.
In my free time, I like to read, play the piano, go for walks and gaming.

I am passionate about learning and find ways to make learning relevant and engaging. I take a person centred approach to support learning styles and preferences.
Equality, diversity and inclusion are important to me, and I like to celebrate identity in learning to build confidence and self esteem. I create a safe environment where learners can relax and be themselves.
Lesson length can vary to suit the needs of the learner, ranging from 30-90 minutes. All ages and stages considered.
I have a Degree in Music and Music Technology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I have 12 years of teaching experience.
