I'm a civil engineer with more than 13 years experience both in the industrial and in the universities.

The world of civil engineering is unfamiliar to students. Teaching means guiding students so they can become more familiar and comfortable with subjects. It should be shaped on one hand by the needs of students, and on the other by the civil engineering concepts at hand. The role of a lecturer is to help students build their knowledge of civil engineering and help them acquire and develop the skills they need from it.
