About Cher
Is your child struggling to focus or read with confidence? You’re not alone — and I can help. My name is Cherdeeca, a certified teacher with over a decade of experience working with elementary students, including those with ADHD and reading comprehension difficulties. With two Master’s degrees in education and years of hands-on experience in the classroom and tutoring, I’ve helped countless children transition from frustration to success. My Teaching Approach I believe every child can thrive when lessons are tailored to their needs. My BRIGHT Roots Method provides a clear path: Reset the Mind, Repair the Gaps, Rebuild the Flow, and Root the Confidence. My tutoring approach is simple: make reading less stressful and more enjoyable while building confidence step by step. I specialize in helping elementary students, especially 3rd–and 4th–grade students with ADHD or comprehension struggles, make real progress in just 2 hours a week.
How I Teach
I use multi-sensory strategies — games, movement, and visuals — to keep lessons engaging. My BRIGHT Roots Method guides each child through four steps: Reset the Mind, Repair the Gaps, Rebuild the Flow, and Root the Confidence.
Lesson Flow
A typical session includes a quick warm-up, focused skill practice (like sight words or comprehension), guided reading with feedback, and a confidence-building wrap-up. Parents also get a short progress update after each lesson.
