About Linda
I became a homeschool mom when public and private schools failed to teach my daughter how to read. After trying many different programs with minimal success I found the Barton Reading and Spelling System. My daughter was profoundly dyslexic and now she is a functional reader after completing the Barton program. This inspired me to become a Barton tutor and help other struggling readers.

I use the Barton Reading and Spelling System. This program is Orton Gillingham (phonics) based. It breaks down the reading process into systematic micro-steps using multiple sensory techniques ensuring a measure of success with each lesson. This is vital with struggling readers to decrease anxiety and build confidence.
