About Madison
I graduated recently from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon with a Bachelors in Graphic Design. Since the 5th grade I have been training in the classical arts, and continued it into my graphic design program in college. Over the years I have become greatly acknowledged with drawing, painting - oils, acrylics, watercolors, gouache, printmaking, and digital painting. I have had lots of experience with these mediums and would love to be able to teach them to others who are interested in learning more about them.

I would approach my classes based on which subject in art it is that I am teaching since each medium has a different set of basic skills to build upon. For any of them I would start with a simple mark making and from there dive into the basic elements of that medium so that people of all skill levels would have room to grow when teaching simple or more difficult tasks. After working out basics, if necessary, I would have my class members bring in a photo or image of something that they would like to draw or paint and help them walk through their image since making art using images that you are genuinely excited about is the best way to learn how to work with an art medium.
