About Disa
My name is Disa and I am a recent Berkeley High graduate with a 3.95 GPA on track to go to Reed College. All throughout High School I helped out classmates, friends and acquaintances with math of all levels. I love helping people feel more confident in what is often a subject that many are insecure in.
I truly believe that it is the teacher not the student and that the way math is commonly taught does not work for a lot of people. Leading many to think that they simply can't learn or understand math but that's not true.

I am looking to help students gain a true understanding of the course material they are working with. I do this by making concepts and equations more applicable to their own life and interests. This can help with students who have had consistent trouble retaining and/or understanding math.
If the student is not currently working on a course or a textbook, I will be happy to provide one that we can work together on. I am happy to work with any level and age, and have experience working with young children. Please inform me of any learning disability the student has so that I may best accommodate them.
Pay and hours are flexible.
