About Luke

I recently graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a first class degree having studied Jazz Performance there for 4 years. I am based in London and am a practising musician as well as passionate educator. There is no perfect method for music education and I have been lucky enough to experience a swathe of different techniques which have taught me that the individual's learning needs are the most important aspect of the teaching. For that reason I focus on finding out how the student learns best in order that they have a strong foundation of understanding on top of which we can build.

About the lesson

I aim to address the student's needs directly by approaching problem areas in a personalised way for them. Some people learn through conversation, others through visual cues. In music the ears are our best tool so I will encourage ear training development alongside the theoretical learning.
