About Gauhrishi
Hello, nice to meet you! My name is Gauhrishi, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge where I received a BA (Hons) in Land Economy, an interdisciplinary course in the environment, economics, law, and investments and finance. As you can imagine, I am an avid learner of a variety of disciplines and am constantly looking for new areas to improve my awareness.
I have encapsulated my understanding from other disciplines such as ancient history, neurobiology and human development to enrich my understanding of the language and my teaching style, in order to create an experience that is logical, thorough and valuable, with some interesting emerging techniques for improving learning.
I am an understanding and patient listener, as well as a keen creator and an enthusiastic collaborator. I am passionate about helping people strengthen their mental faculties using visual and creative techniques to enable a more joyful and easeful learning experience.

Are you looking for an interesting, and informative learning experience on the English language? Are you intrigued by how the English language in its present-day state - heard, spoken, written and read - came to fruition from the signs and symbols that were developed originally? If so, you can find what you are looking for here!
My understanding of teaching comes from comparing various international teaching styles in my studies at University, to foster a free-thinking, creative and active mindset in learners. This also helps develop emotional intelligence, which is critical to their ability to understand and integrate the learning and to their overall well-being.
Recently, I have been looking at the different ways our brains can integrate and remember information more easily by studying neurobiology. I found some astounding techniques that I apply in my own life to boost my learning dramatically, such as imagination and story-telling. I aim to incorporate these in my approach as well to ensure our experience is more enjoyable and your learning is better, faster and easier.
I also have a keen interest in the origins of the English language, and how it manifested into its present-day condition where it is now used worldwide, and incorporate this in my English lessons to provide foundational knowledge that I believe is key to learning any new discipline.
I have experience in guiding a team of university students (of various levels) for two consecutive years at university, mentored peers on a one-on-one basis in other disciplines, and taught underprivileged students at school.
My lessons are open to anyone at any level, irrespective of whether they are just getting started with English or have learnt it thoroughly English before. My lessons are personally curated based on your level and provide something interesting for everyone!
A typical lesson will be about an hour long, and can be extended as per a student's request.
