About Jeff
Hello, my name is Jeff. I started using Sketchup in 2014 when I found out about it during a training I was taking in New Mexico. The training exposed me to the profound new possibilities that this software offered. A chance to turn my ideas into something tangible, something that I could share. At the time, Sketchup and its suite was free to use, and you could download a full license and use it to your hearts content! Those days are gone, of course, but the user experience has vastly improved since then and resources are plenty, making this an incredibly versatile tool. Using tips and tricks I have acquired over the years, my tutelage will help you expand your proficiency in this software!

Whether it is used for permitting, reference, planning, or estimating, there is no substitute for having an accurate, complete set of drawings when it comes to the construction process. The theme of my lessons is ‘practice built on practical examples’. I find that when you have something tangible to explore from start to finish, the method sticks a little better to your memory. We will use Sketchup and Layout together and you will have the opportunity to learn all about it from a blank page to a finished product. My lessons are for anyone interested in using Sketchup and Layout for construction projects, including architectural drawings, shop drawings, site plans, and virtual client walkthroughs. These lessons assume you either have prior National Building Code knowledge, or do not need to apply the Code to your projects.
