About Ruth

I am Ruth, an RN of over 10 years experience working over 29 hospitals in public and private settings in rural and metropolitan regions in many diverse areas including ED, ICU, pediatrics, surgical wards, medical wards, aged care and mental health. My passion is seeing carers, nursing students and nurses become competent, caring clinicians. I believe that tutoring assists by passing on experience to help people become better clinicians.

About the lesson

My approach is 1. Put student at ease 2. Find out where they need help 3. Find out the student's learning style 4. Tailor a plan to address where they need help 5. I can also offer education sessions eg readiness for clinical placement, medication calculations, specific nursing care eg stoma care, work/life balance
