About Asea
Asea Thompson (aka Militant Unicorn) is a Creative Professional, Reiki Master Teacher, and Community Planner Consultant who uses the power of mindfulness as a catalyst for change. Asea is an esteemed scholar with a BFA in Interior Design from Valdosta State University and a Master's in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University. The career objective for Asea has always been to improve the general welfare of Black and Brown people through purposeful planning and high-quality implementation processes. Asea realized during her undergraduate studies that she had an immense interest in the atmosphere and livability of the built urban environment. This epiphany led her to graduate school where she took an interest in Historic Preservation and Creative Placemaking because these planning methods help sustain stable, safe, and healthy living environments for vulnerable populations. However, Asea quickly realized that the trauma caused by blighted and gutted communities needed remediation before deploying any planning strategies. So, Asea switched her focus to more holistic and participatory approaches, and as a consequence, it pushed her to become actively involved in her community through advocacy work and volunteerism. Asea went on to create Militant Universe, an initiative to hold intentional safe spaces for folx of the African diaspora. Asea has also been certified as a Reiki Master Teacher, hoping to passively transform communities by assisting individuals on their transformational journeys.

We break down the hard work of spiritual professional development into easily digestible steps. We will have a discovery session to explore your opportunities for improvement and determine the best tutoring plan to best address your needs. Or maybe all you need is just a pep talk to illuminate some blind spots in your practice.
I am a Creative Professional, Reiki Master Teacher, and Community Planner Consultant who uses the power of mindfulness as a catalyst for personal development and growth. My lessons are geared towards Reiki practitioners, Energy Healers, Lightworkers, Seers, and Readers who are ready to expand their and build confidence in their gifts.
