About Jieren
I’m a Canadian living in London working in a research lab after being offered the position straight after finishing my Master’s. I’ve always loved learning (clearly, I did 5 years of it!) and enjoy sharing that knowledge. I find a lot of happiness in my students having an “AH HA!” moment when they finally understand something.

I start by asking every new student what their academic goals are or reasoning for seeking tutoring is and work to support you to reach those goals. I think it’s always best to thoroughly understand a concept as oppose to memorizing it and do practice problems to see where potential gaps in understanding could be then work to fill those gaps. I understand that everyone’s brains work differently so I work to ensure that the material is in terms that makes sense for you and adapt lessons accordingly.
