About Shangamitra

Currently an MA student at Queen's University, I am involved with research and teaching undergraduates at Queen's University itself. I look forward to teaching a wider section of pupils to enhance their understanding of Sociology and its agenda for life and society.

About the lesson

While I would focus on the introductory courses of Sociology, I would also intend to dig deeper into the main theories of Sociology namely, the conflict theory, structural functionalism, symbolic interactionism, postmodernism, feminist theory, social action theory, Marxism, and the theories postulated by the Sociological thinkers.

Shangamitra's manner of teaching is so wonderful and refreshing. She is very patient and supportive but really knows how to motivate her students. She is great at building confidence and keeping lessons fun and engaging through a variety of activities that improve conversation, writing and reading skills. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning.
