About Deanne
I taught journalism and photography at a public high school in Austin for 33 years. I love teenagers, and I know a few things about helping them find their voice in written communication. I would love to help with college essay writing, English compositions, etc. I can also teach basic photography (I helped write a photography textbook 2 years ago).

I have extensive experience working with high school students, but I can also help middle schoolers with writing and photography. My philosophy is to meet each student where they are and help them build confidence in their written communication skills. Regarding college essays, which I know can be intimidating, I like to help students draw on their own experiences in a way that helps them find their writing voice.
