About Stephen
I have a bachelors degree in English, a master's of arts in the teaching of writing, and a Ph.D. in English Education (Curriculum and Instruction). I taught English at the high school level and writing courses while a graduate student. I then taught for courses at the university level as a professor of curriculum and instruction, my specialty teaching teacher how to teach English. One of the courses was in the teaching of writing. During my 28 years at the university, I occasionally picked up freshmen level writing courses. After retirement, I have taught several freshman level writing courses at our local community college.
