About Vivaswath

I am a professionally trained vocalist, composer, and music educator from Mumbai, with a Master’s degree in Music from Royal Holloway, University of London and a Bachelor’s degree from Middlesex University.

I have worked with some of India’s most respected musicians, including A. R. Rahman, Santosh Narayanan, L. Subramaniam, and Kavita Krishnamurthy.

With over 6 years of teaching experience, including 4 years teaching music at the undergraduate university level, I help students develop strong vocal technique, musical understanding, and confidence. My lessons combine professional training with a friendly and encouraging approach, making high-quality music education accessible to beginners, hobbyists, and serious learners alike.

About the lesson

Sing Retro Bollywood with Confidence

Do you love old Bollywood songs but feel shy about singing in front of others? Whether you want to enjoy karaoke, sing at family gatherings, or simply fulfil a lifelong dream of singing, these lessons are designed to help you find your voice with confidence.

Learn timeless songs by legendary artists such as Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, and Mohammed Rafi.

What You’ll Learn
- Sing in tune with better pitch control
- Improve breathing and voice quality
- Expand your vocal range
- Build confidence and overcome stage fear
- Understand musical expression and phrasing
- Perform your favourite songs with live piano accompaniment

What Makes These Lessons Unique

Unlike most online singing classes, every lesson includes live piano accompaniment, giving you the experience of singing with a real musician in real time. This makes learning more engaging, enjoyable, and musically rewarding.

Each student also receives:

- Lyrics and notation (where relevant)
- Custom backing tracks
- Recorded vocal exercises
- Practice notes and handouts

Who These Classes Are For

- Adults and teenagers (15+)
- Complete beginners
- Karaoke enthusiasts
- Retro Bollywood lovers
- Aspiring singers seeking structured training
- Teaching Style

My lessons are tailored to your goals and pace. Whether you want to sing for enjoyment or pursue music more seriously, I provide a clear and supportive path to help you improve steadily while having fun.

Book a free trial session and discover how enjoyable and rewarding singing can be.

As a keyboard player, I offer live accompaniment, allowing you or your loved ones to experience the magic of singing along with a live piano in real-time — kind of like having your own personal concert where the music and voice come together seamlessly.

I approach teaching with flexibility, making sure my sessions are tailored to your goals — whether you’re serious about music or just want to brighten your day with some songs.

I try to make every lesson as imaginative and expressive as possible, much like painting a picture with your voice. Ages 15+ and all experience levels are welcome! Feel free to get in touch for a free trial session — let’s make music together!
