About Clare
Hello, I’m Clare, a contemporary artist, Royal College of Art MA graduate and Chelsea College of Art (UAL) alumna with over 10 years’ experience as a Senior Scenic Artist and Prop Finisher across feature films, high-end television and theatre.
My career has allowed me to combine fine art with large-scale creative production, creating work for internationally recognised film, television and theatrical productions while continuing to develop my own contemporary art practice. This blend of fine art and professional industry experience gives my students a unique insight into both creative practice and the realities of working as an artist.
I work with students of all ages and abilities, from beginners to GCSE and A-Level students, university applicants, practising artists and those preparing portfolios for leading art schools. I also offer artistic critique, portfolio development, creative mentoring and support with interviews and personal statements.
My teaching is supportive, engaging and tailored to each individual. I encourage experimentation, critical thinking and technical excellence while helping every student develop confidence and their own artistic voice. Whether your goal is to achieve top grades, gain a place at art school or grow as an artist, I will help you realise your creative potential.

I’m Clare, a Royal College of Art MA graduate, Chelsea College of Art (UAL) alumna and Senior Film & TV Scenic Artist with over 10 years’ professional experience across fine art, contemporary art and high-end film and television. My work has been exhibited and sold through galleries, screened at film festivals, and realised on major feature films and television productions.
I specialise in Contemporary Art, Moving Image, portfolio development, artistic critique and creative practice. I help students develop technical skills, conceptual thinking and a distinctive artistic voice, whether they’re working towards GCSE, A-Level, Foundation, BA, MA or professional practice.
I provide expert support with portfolio preparation, artist statements, interviews, coursework, creative research and applications to leading art schools, including the Royal College of Art, UAL, Slade and Goldsmiths. I also offer career mentoring for students interested in fine art, moving image and the film and television industry.
My lessons are tailored to every student, from complete beginners to practising artists. Alongside practical techniques, I place a strong emphasis on experimentation, critical thinking and constructive artistic critique. I also have experience supporting neurodivergent learners, adapting lessons to suit different learning styles in an engaging and supportive environment.
Whether you’re aiming for top grades, preparing for art school, developing your professional practice or building confidence in your creativity, my goal is to help you produce ambitious, thoughtful and original work that reflects your own artistic voice.
