I'm a passionate personal trainer who has been in love with fitness since the age of 12! As someone who once struggled with being overweight, I know firsthand how transformative fitness can be, not just for the body, but for the mind and confidence too. I approach training with a focus on understanding each client's unique goals, lifestyle, and relationship with food. This allows me to create tailored plans that are sustainable and effective. I analyze clients' current meals and eating habits to identify areas for improvement, ensuring gradual diet changes that don’t feel overwhelming or restrictive. Nutrition Coaching: I educate clients on the importance of a balanced diet and how to create a calorie deficit without feeling deprived. I emphasize nutrient-dense foods, portion control, and mindful eating to help clients achieve their weight loss or performance goals. Training Methods: Bodyweight Training: I incorporate bodyweight exercises that build strength, endurance, and mobility. These exercises are scalable for all fitness levels and can be done anywhere, making them accessible and effective. Functional Fitness: Drawing from my experience as a former Rugby gold medalist and boxer, I design workouts that improve overall athleticism, including agility, power, and conditioning. Strength and Conditioning: I combine resistance training with cardio to help clients build muscle, burn fat, and improve overall fitness. Mindset and Motivation: I work on building a positive mindset around food and exercise, helping clients develop a healthy relationship with both. I provide consistent support and accountability to keep clients motivated and on track. Usual Structure of a Class Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): Dynamic stretches and mobility exercises to prepare the body for the workout. Light cardio or bodyweight movements to increase heart rate. Main Workout (30-40 minutes): A combination of bodyweight exercises (e.g., push-ups, squats, lunges, planks) and functional movements. Circuits or interval training to maximize calorie burn and build endurance. Modifications and progressions are provided based on the client’s fitness level. Cool-Down and Stretching (5-10 minutes): Static stretching to improve flexibility and reduce muscle tension. Breathing exercises to promote relaxation and recovery. Post-Session Check-In: A quick discussion about how the client felt during the session and any adjustments needed. Nutrition tips or meal planning advice to support their goals. Special Features as a Teacher Athletic Background: My experience as a Rugby gold medalist and boxer gives me a deep understanding of strength, conditioning, and mental toughness. I bring this expertise into my training programs to help clients achieve peak performance. Holistic Approach: I don’t just focus on physical fitness; I address nutrition, mindset, and lifestyle to ensure long-term success. Adaptability: I tailor every session to the client’s needs, whether they’re a beginner or an advanced athlete. My programs are flexible and evolve as the client progresses. Empathy and Support: Being an athlete, I understand the challenges of staying disciplined and motivated. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment to help clients overcome obstacles.
