About Cynthia
I hold a BA First Class Honours in History with International Relations. From 2015 to 2018, I was a Teaching Assistant at a Russian school in London. I provided tutoring sessions at the Russian Gymnasium in North London, and at the prestigious Pushkin House in London. As both a student and teacher of Russian, I have accumulated a selection of the best methods and tools to help others succeed in their language studies. Now, I'm all about making Russian more approachable and breaking down the myth that it's a tough language to learn.
I also achieved A* grades in GCSE and A-Level Russian, and my familiarity with the British school system lets me guide other students towards those top grades.
Outside of that, I'm a friendly, organised, and flexible person. Helping children and teenagers with their studies has fuelled my passion for creating a stress-free, comfortable environment that takes into account your needs, interests, and concerns to help you reach your goals.

I adopt a step-by-step approach for developing Russian language skills. My curriculum covers the basics of grammar and vocabulary but also delves into cultural aspects. To promote immersion, I integrate discussions and analyses of Russian music, literature, art, and history into my lessons. I also have extensive experience working online and making use of tools to make materials up-to-date and interesting. My lessons typically last for 1 hour. My lessons are versatile and can cater to various skill levels and age groups. Whether you are a complete beginner wanting to learn the Russian alphabet or an advanced student looking to fine-tune your conversational skills, I tailor my lessons accordingly.
