-My main technique in tutoring languages is 'teaching grammar through conversations and task practice'. With 5 years of experience in teahcing, support and mentoring, I have seen a great effect of scaffolding grammar of the langauge directly via communciation and exercise rather than just structured explanation of rules and only 2 mins of practice.
I am sure that beginningto learn language with conversation is the right step to grow enthusiasm to understand the langauge which is very important for most students.
