About Ruth
A Bachelor's of Education degree holder in Kiswahili and Music, and with 13 years teaching experience, I've passionately taken thousands of students through the Kenya Secondary School Swahili curriculum. I earned myself 'Mama' nickname from my love for my students and as a mentor. Swahili is my first language.

My approach is progressive, simple to complex, known to unknown. My methodology is highly dynamic and dependent on the students' entry behavior, orientation and reason behind learning the language. As such Grammar translation will apply for non-Swahili speakers, direct method for those that are out to perfect their spoken/ written Swahili and more advanced methods for those that may eventually use it for official purposes. Where need be, the audio lingual approach will apply.
