So you’re looking for a salsa or bachata teacher?? Hello I’m Sophia! I have over 15 years of dance experience and more than four years specialising in Latin dance: salsa and bachata. I teach both solo and partner work. I love Latin dance so much!!

You’ll always leave class feeling more confident, more connected to the music, and with a big smile on your face — because Latin dance should be joyful, empowering, and all about growth as well as fun.
My classes focus on technique, musicality, and most importantly helping you feel and dance better. I create a relaxed, friendly, and fun environment where you can really enjoy the process while seeing real improvement. I listen carefully to what you want to work on and tailor every class to suit your goals and learning style. If you have a specific need out of me let me know and I can change my class to suit you!
I can teach either one-to-one solo classes or one-to-one partner classes. However, solo classes are especially beneficial for followers, as I am a follower myself and have a strong, detailed understanding of the role.
In solo sessions, we usually learn short choreography pieces that are packed with technique, musicality, and body awareness, all aimed at improving overall solo dancing within the style. They are so much fun! You will have the chance to film yourself (or not) to see improvement.
I can also teach partner-based technique if that’s what you’re looking for, and I’m happy to work with couples as well.
Solo classes are particularly great for followers who want to level up their technique, confidence, and body awareness, as well as for those training in solo salsa or bachata.
For beginner-level students, classes will focus on learning foundational moves and building solid technique. At intermediate level, this is developed further through routines that challenge you more and include stretching and refinement. For advanced levels, the same structure applies but at a higher technical and artistic level.
