About Macy
I’m currently working toward my Ed.S. in School Psychology and have a background in psychology and human development and family studies. My graduate coursework has included the Science of Reading, Scarborough’s Reading Rope, assessment, and pre-assessment. I really enjoy helping students work through material in a way that makes sense to them. I try to keep tutoring supportive, practical, and focused on each student’s individual needs.

For reading support, I use evidence-based practices informed by the Science of Reading, Scarborough’s Reading Rope, and my graduate coursework in assessment and pre-assessment. I can support students with foundational reading skills, comprehension, academic strategies, and confidence. I also tutor undergraduate psychology courses and can help with understanding concepts, studying, assignments, and exam preparation. My goal is to make learning feel manageable and specific to each student’s needs.
