I worked with Lorna for two years when she was an Engagement and Outreach officer for the Ascension Island Marine Protected Area. She had an incredible passion and talent for delivering meaningful and insightful opportunities for the children she worked with. With minimal resources and a lot of imagination, she practically turned the entire island into a classroom totally unlike anything the kids would experience in their normal routines at school. Her sessions were always fun for the kids but every time they would walk away knowing more and, with that, a greater understanding and appreciation for the natural world around them.
