About Kayleigh Jade
A relaxed, student-centred ethos surrounding the needs of the students and how best to support you.
I’m a second-language Welsh speaker. I grew up on Anglesey and attended two separate Welsh speaking secondary schools.
I obtained an A* at GCSE and currently teach Welsh up to KS4 at a secondary school in Wrexham and have taught Welsh at a secondary school in Denbighshire before that. I also teach English to Welsh-speaking students.
I have a very relaxed approach as language learning needs to be fun and dynamic in order to foster confidence and enthusiasm.

Second language Welsh lessons centred around the student and their bespoke needs/areas of interest.
In my lessons you can expect to cover everything from basic vocabulary to the tenses including the conditional and even some fun facts about Wales and Welsh culture. And yes, I can teach you how to say the longest place name in Britain
I will even cover popular Welsh language myths, for example popty-ping and pysgod wibliwobli.
Expect an English-dominant lesson, I see no point in shouting straight Welsh at you when it is not your native language. I interweave Welsh throughout the lesson conversationally and passively, unless a topic has been selected/discussed.
Ultimately, I am here to tailor my approach to your needs, whatever they may be.
