About Kate
I have spent the last two years working as a tutor in Vietnam and I loved my job so decided to return to the UK to complete my PGCE at Cambridge University. My passion for my subject comes through in my teaching and sparks an enthusiastic response in my students. Each lesson is designed to challenge the student without knocking their confidence whilst ensuring that they develop a genuine interest and enjoyment of English.

Kate has two years experience as a private international school tutor, teaching Literature, Language, essay writing and oral exam preparation to secondary school students. She is highly experienced in helping student to improve the quality of their writing, deepen their understanding of literary conventions and develop their depth of analysis. She aims to help her students build a mindset for success; to be resilient to stress, self-confident and self-motivated. Each of Kate's session are tailored to meet the needs of each individual student to ensure they can reach their full potential.
Kate has a 2.1 BA (Hons) in English from the University of Birmingham, a DBS check and is currently studying her PGCE at the University of Cambridge.
Kate has extensive experience tutoring GCSE and IB syllabuses, and can also tutor ALevel and KS3. Kate's sessions are typically an hour long.
