About Priscilla
Hey, I’m Priscilla and I believe that every student deserves a chance to learn at their own pace and with their own learning styles. Being a firstborn in a migrant family, it was hard for me to find the right resources I needed to properly prepare for my exams, but I truly think that what helped me with my learning was having someone close to my age to assist me in my studies. I went through a really hard time trying to support myself because I didn’t know how to communicate with my parents about what I needed for support, but if you choose me as your tutor, don’t be afraid to ask me anything at all about what you don’t understand about the topic or concept.

Having attended many different tutoring classes and having experienced many different teaching styles and methods myself over my life, I know how to quickly adapt to a student's/client's learning styles and provide as much support as I can for them. I have achieved awards at tutoring centers for excellence and was ranked in the top 10% of NSW students in the NSW high schools selective test for year 7 entry in creative writing and reading comprehension. Additionally, I have straight A’s in my high school semester reports for English class (including creative writing with multiple text types including, but not exclusive to, narrative writing, information report writing, and poetry). Typical lesson lengths are one to one and a half hours long, and I tutor for OC (opportunity class) and selective school exams, so usually students around year 3-6. I can assist with rewriting texts from feedback given from tutoring or I can teach new concepts and ideas to the student as long as some sort of resources are provided such as a learning intention, lesson goal for some success criteria.
