About Angela
Jambo, I am a self-taught home cook and proud Kenyan mum based in Mombasa. I fell in love with cooking in my mum's kitchen watching her make hearty meals— I learned by watching, trying, and failing until my food became soft and tasty every time.
I love Kenyan food because it brings family together. My friends always ask me for my recipes, so I decided to start teaching. I am patient, friendly, and I explain in simple Swahili and English, no complicated chef language. I especially love teaching beginners and busy mums who want to cook delicious Kenyan meals at home without stress.

I am a self-taught home cook from Mombasa who learned to cook Kenyan food from my mum and some added food knowledge from school. My lessons are 100% Kenyan and very practical, simple and friendly.
I teach beginners, students, busy mums and anyone living alone who wants to cook real Kenyan food from scratch. We will cook together step-by-step: soft layered chapati, coastal pilau, mukimo, githeri, perfect ugali with sukuma wiki and managu, kuku kienyeji and nyama choma with kachumbari.
I share my exact family measurements, how to shop for fresh ingredients in Kenyan markets on a small budget, and how to make your food soft and tasty every time. I teach in Swahili and English, mainly online on WhatsApp video or Zoom, at your own pace.
