About Richard
I am a semi-retired lawyer and university academic, with degrees in Education, Commerce, Economics and Law. I have taught and privately tutored literally thousands of students for more than 35 years. Many have now become successful professionals in their own right, and I am now teaching the children of my early students!

My teaching method is to present a concept with practical examples, ask the student to produce the concept in their own words and apply it with an example, and then to practise with more examples before moving onto the next concept.
I base my classes on students knowing and understanding the material; applying their new-found knowledge to new examples or situations; analysing the component parts of a problem in order to solve it; and evaluating alternatives to come up with the best new solution to a problem.
