As a tutor, I take a practical, hands-on approach to teaching Java and Kotlin programming. I start by understanding the student’s current level and goals, then design lessons that combine theory with real-world coding exercises. I believe in learning by doing, so students write code from the very first session, gradually building confidence and problem-solving skills. Each lesson typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, ensuring there’s enough time to cover concepts, hands-on practice, and address any questions. I hold an MSc in Data Science and have over 12 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer and Android Developer, specialising in Java and Kotlin. I also have experience mentoring junior developers in the workplace, which has honed my ability to explain complex topics in a simple, relatable way. My lessons are ideal for: Students aged 16+, university students, or professionals Beginners who want to start coding Developers transitioning to Android development Anyone looking to strengthen their Java/Kotlin skills Whether you’re preparing for a tech career, university coursework, or simply want to learn programming, my sessions are tailored to help you achieve your learning goals.
