I was a peer tutor in middle school and high school. I have an associates degree in history from Pellissippi State and am currently finishing my bachelors/masters at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. I am a history major with minors in geography and secondary education.

I approach teaching history by connecting critical key points and connecting issues and events to the present day. I encourage critical thinking in my students and like to draw the answers out of them while having them think about the "why's" and "what if's." If a student has to think critically on a topic then they are more likely to remember the content.
