About Quaver
Hi! My name is Joseph! I've been playing guitar for about 20 years and I've been teaching guitar for about 7 years both online and in person. I specialize in fundamentals and theory for beginners so you can have an easy time traversing the fretboard with good practice exercises, hand strengthening and rhythm-based lessons. I love metal and shred but I began in blues and country. With time and some fun lead-based lessons I hope to aim my students towards a lot more improving and phrasing skills. Most of what I aim to teach is based on music theory and a lot of practical exercises. I've toured all over the US and done dozens of live and stage performances along with a few in-studio recording sessions and accompaniment with rhythm-based guitar. Most of the in-person teachings have been young teens looking to shred but I teach all ages from 10 years old all the way up to 50 and older! I listen and watch to be mindful of the fundamentals that my student needs to learn or work on in order to progress as a masterful musician. Have an acoustic only? That's no problem! I also love to teach fingerpicking styles and techniques to help hone contemporary, soulful, and more acoustic-based techniques. I hope you sign up so I can help you on your musical journey.

They might share the same love but none have the exact same way of playing. So why not cultivate what helps you? These lesson plans are to meet your individual needs to help you create your own sound and way of playing. I teach all ages from 10 years to 50 years and older! Went to college for commercial music, guitar theory, guitar performance, songwriting and music fundamentals. I hope that I can help you on your musical journey.
