About Katie
I am a student at Boston University studying Public Relations and am very involved in the music scene here. As President of our Music Business Club, the students who want help building their music career is my main priority. So many people want to sing, and think they simply aren't born with it. Anyone can learn -- I promise! Your voice is a muscle that takes time to strengthen.
Before university, I grew up in dance, and then shifted to theater, a cappella groups, and choir. I have always loved music and performance, and have learned that the best way to be confident in it is to be prepared by singing all the time (and not putting so much pressure on yourself. Have fun!)
I have since released my own music with lyrics, melody, and harmonies written by me (You can listen to my music anywhere under my name if you wanna hear me!) Not only will you learn how to sing over a track, but you will learn the importance of singing with dynamics and emotion to give a performance that makes sense. Music is energy, and is so much fun once you get the hang of it.

We'll spend the first lesson getting to know each other. I'd like to get a feel for where you are vocally and what you want to get out of the lesson.
The beginning of each lesson following will start with a quick vocal warm-up, and then we'll dive into your repertoire (what you want to sing). We'll spend each lesson going through each section of a song until you can masterfully sing it!
I am an artist in Boston who works locally with a lot of bands. Many bands have mastered instruments, but have a hard time keeping up vocally during shows. If you feel like you might be able to carry a tune, but need help shaping your sound, we'll work together to build your vocal stamina, tone, pitch accuracy, and overall performance!
