About Ivy
I completed a PhD in Vocal Technique and Contemporary Music Performance after years of advanced study in vocal training, artistic interpretation, and stage communication during my academic journey. Over the past 7 years, I have guided students from different musical backgrounds and skill levels, helping them improve through personalised coaching and supportive instruction. Teaching singing allows me to combine emotional communication, creativity, and mentorship in a deeply rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners become more expressive and confident through music.
My teaching style focuses on flexibility, healthy vocal development, and patience. Some students improve best through technical repetition and structured exercises, while others respond more naturally to emotional exploration and creative interpretation. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s comfort level, confidence, and musical goals. Along with technical improvement, I help students strengthen breathing control, vocal clarity, expressive phrasing, and performance readiness. Creating a welcoming and encouraging learning atmosphere remains one of my most important priorities as a teacher.
Outside teaching, I continue practising vocals, exploring different musical traditions, and studying performance methods that help keep my lessons engaging and inspiring. Music remains a strong source of creativity and emotional connection in my life. One of the most fulfilling parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured performers throughout their musical journey. Helping learners discover confidence through singing continues to inspire me greatly.

My singing lessons are designed to help students strengthen vocal technique while developing expressive confidence and artistic individuality through supportive and structured training methods. I teach breath support, resonance, articulation, vocal placement, pitch accuracy, phrasing, and tone shaping using practical exercises that feel approachable for learners at every level. Lessons also include harmony work, vocal warm-ups, emotional interpretation, stage preparation, and flexibility exercises that help students improve naturally through regular practice. I create a comfortable learning environment where students feel safe exploring their voice without pressure or fear of mistakes. Every lesson supports both technical growth and creative expression together.
Beginners receive patient guidance with breathing exercises, vocal projection, simple melodies, and foundational techniques that build healthy habits gradually over time. Intermediate learners improve expressive delivery, smoother transitions, vocal control, and harmony awareness through guided studies and structured musical activities. Advanced students focus on emotional storytelling, advanced repertoire, stylistic versatility, and stage confidence through detailed coaching sessions. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s confidence level, personality, and artistic interests so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning process.
Singing should feel expressive, uplifting, and rewarding. I encourage students to trust their natural voice while building confidence through supportive feedback and consistent practice. Many learners become more comfortable performing and expressing emotion through music as their vocal abilities continue improving naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen both vocal technique and artistic confidence while enjoying the process of musical growth.
