About Olly
I have taught and performed music in Primary schools, as well as having taught over 20 students in Singing, Piano, and Music Theory. Music is my passion and I would love to share my knowledge on anything musical! I was a chorister when I was younger, was a choral scholar at Jesus College, Cambridge, and sing many solo recitals in multiple styles.
Having studied Music at Cambridge, my teaching can extend into Musicology and Music History essay writing, as these were strongly developed skills in the Music degree.

I like being receptive to the student(s) and the pace of learning that they require. In each lesson I will have a loose plan of what I would like to teach but am always happy to divert to what the student would like to talk about if there is not an exam coming up! In problems, I prefer to let the student do as much as possible independently before taking them through a step by step analysis of the question and clearly going through the steps of the answer.

Perfect! Olly helped my daughter with GCSE maths and music revision over the Easter holidays. We couldn’t have asked for a better tutor! He was a great help, very thorough and reliable. She felt comfortable with him from the start and definitely benefited and was motivated by his knowledge and love of music. I would highly recommend him.
