About Janet
For the past 8 years, I’ve had the honor of teaching singing to students from school through college. Music is the language of the soul, and I love helping students connect with themselves through singing. From classical to pop, I enjoy teaching various styles and helping students find their own. One of the best parts of my job is seeing a student light up when they hit the right note or finally sing a song they’ve always loved. Every voice is unique, and I treat each student as special. My goal is to make singing fun, meaningful, and personal for every learner.

I teach singing by making lessons practical and fun, with a focus on real-life examples and case studies. These examples help students understand how singing works in concerts, auditions, and everyday music experiences. Motivation is a key part of my method. I work with students to set achievable goals and celebrate their progress, which builds confidence and keeps them engaged.
Collaboration plays a big role. Singing with others helps students develop listening skills, harmony, and confidence. I include group activities and peer feedback to foster teamwork.Creativity is encouraged through exploring different genres, improvising, and composing. This helps students find their unique voice. Problem-solving is important for improving technique. We work together to identify and fix challenges such as breath support or pitch accuracy. Besides singing, I offer lessons in music theory and performance skills to give students a complete musical education. My method combines motivation, collaboration, creativity, real-world learning, and problem-solving to help students become confident and skilled singers.
