About Lila
Hello! I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on voice. I specialize in working with choirs, vocal ensembles, and group harmony training, helping singers develop both confidence and skill. My teaching covers a range of styles, including Classical, Sacred, A Cappella, and Barbershop. I focus on sight singing, solfège, choral blend, part-singing, and rehearsal leadership to ensure every student thrives in both individual and group settings. I have had the pleasure of guiding school choirs, college ensembles, and community singing groups to achieve their musical goals. My lessons emphasize vocal technique, expressive interpretation, and teamwork, making each rehearsal both productive and enjoyable. I enjoy helping students discover how their voices can blend beautifully with others while strengthening their individual sound. Lessons are supportive, engaging, and tailored to meet each group’s unique needs. Together, we explore repertoire, refine harmony, and build confidence in performance. My voice lessons focus on building strong foundations in breathing techniques, vocal health, pitch accuracy, and performance skills. Each lesson is tailored to fit the student’s goals and musical context.
For the Suzuki Student, I emphasize playful yet structured exercises that encourage vocal exploration, emotional expression, and solid pitch training. We use ear-training apps and vocal tracking tools to reinforce accurate intonation and develop confidence in singing from memory.
Orchestra Members benefit from a method that strengthens vocal endurance, blending, and dynamic control to match ensemble requirements. Lessons focus on tone quality, phrasing, and expressive delivery to enhance their performance in group settings.
Across both personas, I integrate breathing exercises, warm-ups, and vocal care practices to maintain healthy and sustainable singing habits. Improvisation and expressive exercises help students connect emotionally with the music.
By combining technical mastery with creative expression, students gain both skill and confidence. Lessons are interactive, supportive, and designed to make progress enjoyable. Every session encourages growth, curiosity, and a genuine love for singing.
