About Noam
I am a printmaker and textile artist specializing in creating Jewish prayer shawls that breathe life into tradition. I focus on natural motifs, earth-tones, and fine fabrics such as silk noil. These heirloom creations combine printmaking and botanical dyeing. I am offering courses in these skillsets to create your own works of textile art, be that clothing, home or kitchen linens, bags, or tapestries. I was trained by Antonio Fonseca, a printshop master, and continue his approach of forming a peer relationship with students, helping you to realize your creative goals through our learning together.

I have worked extensively with both youth and adults. No artistic background is required to take on these skillsets. Private or small group 90 minute lessons. Students with an interest in sewing may find benefit in this course, allowing them to create their own printed fabrics for projects. Following the approach of the printmaster who trained me, I aim to forge a peer relationship with students, in which you are an artist with a vision, and my job is to give you the tools to reach that vision. Lessons over zoom can be structured as a long term tutorship, or a short term of 6 lessons minimum, to ensure proper introduction to methods and materials, and sufficient time to complete a beginner's project. Students must buy their own materials, and I will advise budget-friendly tool kits for beginners and intermediate students.
