About Elsie
I am an experienced Piano tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, working with students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. Teaching piano has allowed me to combine my love for music with my passion for helping students grow in skill, confidence, and creativity.
My teaching philosophy centres around patience, structured learning, and individual attention. I focus on correct posture, finger technique, rhythm, sight reading, and basic music theory. I also encourage creativity, helping students express themselves through music. I use simple explanations, practical exercises, and familiar songs to make lessons easy to follow and enjoyable.
I design lessons according to each student’s goals and interests. Whether a student is preparing for exams, performances, or learning piano for personal enjoyment, I provide guidance, practice strategies, and motivation to achieve results.
Many of my students have successfully performed at school and college events, passed music exams, and continued playing piano as a lifelong hobby. Watching students grow musically and personally is the most fulfilling part of my work.

I teach with compassion, supportiveness, and effective communication. I believe every student has unique strengths and potential, and my role is to guide them patiently and positively. In piano lessons, I combine technical skill-building with creative exploration, helping students improve their abilities while developing confidence.
I break lessons into clear steps, provide demonstrations, and encourage practice and active participation. Constructive feedback and positive reinforcement help students stay motivated and engaged. I also teach other relevant subjects using the same flexible and supportive methods. My goal is to help students achieve their goals, gain confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning and music.
