About Jocelyn
Hello! I’m a passionate singing tutor holding a BA in Ethnomusicology (Vocal Traditions) with over 4 years of experience. My teaching is built around vocal layering, arranging harmonies, and creating expressive vocal textures. I teach A Capella, Pop, Gospel, and R&B with care and excitement. We will explore blending techniques, counter-melodies, arranging methods, and production ideas. I’m proud to teach school students, college performers, and developing artists. Lessons also include improvisation, composition, music history, and technology skills. I love inspiring students to think musically and creatively. I teach singing through a balance of vocal technique and ear sensitivity. Students learn to identify intervals and recognise pitch relationships. This strengthens tuning and harmony work. Advanced teens and quartet singers receive targeted support. They learn how to listen actively and blend smoothly. I provide ongoing feedback that builds trust in the ear. Lessons include breath support, tone shaping, and range building. I keep instructions simple and clear. The goal is natural pitch accuracy. Over time, singers become confident and consistent.
